    On September 11, 2024, Mr Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation received a helpline call at 01:30 p.m., from Mr Sasikumar, requesting support in donating his late mother's eyes.

    Ms. Rani (63), was a very kind person and loveable mother. She always ensured not only the heart but also the stomach was amply filled for the people around her. She always brought in happiness and was the lucky charm for the entire family.

    On September 11, 2024, by 01.15 p.m. Ms. Rani had her last breath. To keep her legacy alive, Mr. Sasikumar, her son, called the organ donation helpline number seeking guidance to donate her eyes. Answering to the call Mr Ganesh, got the details from Mr. Sasikumar and coordinated with Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Sankara Nethralaya team reached the residence and the corneas were successfully retrieved by 3.15 p.m.

    Mr. Sasikumar, feels proud and relieved as his mother has passed on the "Gift of Sight", to someone needy. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Sasikumar for his decision and significant efforts in making the donation happen. We also extend our regards and condolence to the family of the deceased.
