Organ Donation Awareness Talk at Panvel Taluka Police Station, Navi Mumbai.

  • On March 26, 2025, Ms. Prarthana was invited to conduct an organ donation awareness talk at Panvel Taluka Police Station for the police staff. A total of 38 participants attended the session, and 6 of them took the pledge to become organ donors.

    During the session, Prarthana highlighted the critical role of police personnel in organ donation, especially in medico-legal cases (MLCs). She emphasized the need for sensitizing police officers, as they often play a key role in facilitating organ donation processes in cases involving accidents, sudden deaths, and forensic investigations.

    The session was interactive, with several officers asking insightful questions, including the contraindications for organ donation and the appropriate authorities to contact after a person’s death. Prarthana addressed these queries, dispelling myths and clarifying procedures, ensuring the officers were well-informed about their responsibilities and the impact they could have in saving lives through organ donation.
