  • On April 11 and 12, 2025  one the auspicious full moon day, thousands of devotees gathered in Tiruvannamalai to participate in the sacred Girivalam (circumambulation) of Arunachala Hill.

Seizing this meaningful occasion, Ms. Sangeetha K., Project Executive at MOHAN Foundation, set up an awareness and information desk along the Girivalam path at Adiannamalai for both days. The desk was equipped with a standee, badges, and brochures to educate the public about organ donation. Over  950 brochures  were distributed to pilgrims and around 100 people picked up a donor card,  sparking interest and conversations around this life-saving cause.

Some of the frequently asked questions during the brochure distribution included:

    1. Can I change my mind after registering?

    2. Will doctors still try to save my life if I’m a registered donor?

    3. Does organ donation cost my family anything?

    4. How do I register to be an organ donor?

MOHAN Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to  Mr. Manikandan, a dedicated member of the Lions Club, Tiruvannamalai, for his invaluable assistance in organizing the desk and providing support throughout the day.
