Life-Saving Skills and Organ Donation Awareness Activity at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur

  • On August 1, 2024, MOHAN Foundation, in collaboration with IGGMC Nagpur, organized a life-saving skills and organ donation awareness event for management students at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sakshi Sadhwani (Chhbria), Associate Professor and Centre of Excellence in charge.

    Dr. Vaishali Shelgaonkar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology, delivered an informative lecture on the critical need for organ donation. She was supported by Dr. Sheetal Dalal, Associate Professor, Dr. Parag Sable, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Ashish and Dr. Abhishekh, Junior Residents from the Anesthesia Department, who contributed to the successful execution of the program.

    MOHAN Foundation provided IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials to facilitate pledges for organ donation. The event saw active participation from nearly 200 students, who engaged with the content and learned about the importance of organ donation and life-saving skills.

    The session aimed to enhance awareness and encourage students to consider organ donation as a vital aspect of healthcare.
