Interactive session on Organ Donation conducted for Buddhist Devotees at Sandesh City Jamtha, Nagpur

  • On April 16th, 2022, an interactive session on organ donation was conducted for Buddhist devotees at Buddha Vihar, Sandesh City, Jamtha, Nagpur. Mr. Charan Thakare - President invited Mr. Bulu Behera to give a talk on organ donation for the devotees of Buddha.

    Mr. Behera addressed the audience and gave an introduction about himself and MOHAN Foundation. He then discussed the below topics in detail

    1. What is organ donation & who can donate organ?
    2. What is the difference between natural death & brain death?
    3. What can a living person donate?
    4. What is the difference between coma and brain death?
    5. What is the difference between medico legal case & non medico legal case?
    6. What is ZTCC and its role in organ donation?
    7. What is the role of MOHAN foundation in organ donation?
    8. Legal ethics of Organ Donation was explained
    9. Information about MOHAN Foundation's  helpline number was shared
    10. Information about hand transplant and body donation was explained.
    11. What is the difference between organ and tissues?

     

    Around 100 devotees were present during the talk and 31 of them signed the pledge forms.

     

    We thank Mr. Charan Thakare for organizing this event and supporting the cause of organ donation.
