On 20th August 2022, Dr. Ravi Wankhede , Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at Dharampeth M. P. DEO, Memorial Science College. Dr. P.T Humane, Professor and Head of Botany department organized this session.
The discussion focused on the following areas in order to make the students understand about organ donation
Over all the session was very interactive where participants enthusiastically contributed to the discussion and asked many queries. To name a few:
1) Difference between coma and brain death?
2) After a person is declared as brain dead, what will be the next process?
Close to 60 students were presented and 30 of them pledged their organs.
