On December 3, 2024, Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi had the honor of being invited to lead an important awareness session for students in Bhatia Ground Panvel, Raigad.
The ground was filled with anticipation as Ms. Prarthana shared heartfelt insights on the significance of organ and tissue donation, explaining concepts such as brain death and cardiac death with compassion and clarity. The students listened intently as they learned not only which organs can be donated but also the legal aspects surrounding donation and the myths that often cloud such an important cause.
Ms. Prarthana’s words struck a chord with the 148 disabled students who attended the session, sparking deep curiosity and conversations. Some of the thought-provoking questions that arose included:
“What are the contraindications in hand transplantation?”
“How can I discuss organ donation with my family?”
These were not just questions—they were expressions of care and concern for their loved ones and a genuine desire to make a difference.
The MOHAN Foundation expresses its deepest gratitude to Ms. Neha Nigam for her unwavering support in this cause, as well as to all the participants in Panvel, Raigad. Together, we continue to create ripples of awareness and hope, reminding everyone that every life matters and the gift of life can be shared in ways we often don't imagine.
