Slogan Writing Competition on Organ Donation at IGGMC-Nagpur

  • Aligned with the Government of India's Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's "Angdan Jan Jagurkta Abhiyan," July 2024 has been designated as Organ Donation Month, with August 3rd marked as Organ Donation Day. Taking the lead on this initiative, the MOHAN Foundation-Nagpur partnered with the NTORC registered Indira Gandhi Govt. Medical College & Hospital to organize a series of events leading up to August 3rd.

    On July 13, 2024, at IGGMCH's Department of Anaesthesiology and Nursing College, in collaboration with the MOHAN Foundation, a vibrant 'Slogan Writing Competition' took place in the OPD area. A total of 37 students from medical faculty and Nursing participated enthusiastically.

    The esteemed panel of judges included Dr. Vipin Ikhar, Associate Professor from the ENT department, and Mrs. Kalpana Harde, Principal of the Nursing College. The competition witnessed outstanding entries, with 3 Nursing students and 2 medical faculties emerging as winners.

    Dr. Vaishali Shelgaonkar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Nodal Officer at IGGMCH, along with Dr. Sonali Khobragade, Mrs. Veena Wathore, Project Manager from MOHAN Foundation, played pivotal roles in organizing and overseeing the event.

    The slogan displays attracted a significant audience of 500 members of the general public and 6 people pledged for organ donation. MOHAN Foundation actively distributed information brochures and organ donation pledge forms during the event.
