On 6th August, 2013 Le Passage to India Tours & Travels invited MOHAN Foundation, Delhi to put up a stall on organ donation at both their offices in Noida. 6th August was marked as Organ Donation Day but it also happened to be the organisation’s 11th Foundation Day. The company under the aegis of Mr. Arjun Sharma, Managing Director, Le Passage to India Tours & Travels does extensive philanthropic activities on this day. A blood donation camp was also organized alongside the organ donation drive.
Sign up desks were put up at both their offices in Noida, Sector 3 and Sector 5 respectively. Mr. Arvind Vyas and Mr. Mukul Mathur, employees of Le Passage to India Tours & Travels coordinated and arranged for the employees from various Departments to come to the desk and sign up for the donor card. At the desk, the visitors cleared their doubts about organ donation. The queries were related to organ donation in India and myths about organ donation. There were a few visitors who said that they had decided to pledge their organs many years ago but were looking for an avenue to fulfil their wish.
Amit Gupta Foundation and Parasher Foundation have both joined hands with MOHAN Foundation to increase the awareness about organ donation. Ms. Mary Sinha, Amit Gupta Foundation and Ms. Ritu Parashar, Parasher Foundation was also present at the desk to handle queries and to help the visitors register for a donor card.
A total of 25 donor cards were signed.
