On, 7th May, 2015 a Sensitization program was conducted for the police personnel at the Police Head quarter, Chandigarh in which all the higher police officials SPs, DSPs, and the SHO s participated. The main aim of the program was to sensitize the police about organ donation and their importance and involvement in Organ Donations, in Medico Legal Cases (MLC).
In the Program they were given a presentation on Organ Donation, the role of police in MLCs and about the "green corridor" (Transportation of the organs) by Mr.Sudhir Dewan Director North.
After the program Mr. Sukhchain Singh, SSP added that he would like to have sensitization of all 600 PCR personnel too, in three different batches of 200 each and also directed us to meet SSP Traffic, Mr. Manish Chaudhary for conduction of similar Program for Traffic Police.
