On January 10th 2020, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Pankaj Itkelwar, the NSS In- charge of Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya in Lakshmi Nagar, Nagpur for an awareness event on organ donation and transplantation. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator from the Foundation was the speaker.
Mr. Pankaj Itkelwar, an Associate Professor at Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya welcomed Mr. Behera and the audience. The programme began by 4 PM and around 50 people were in attendance. Mr. Bulu Behera, in his talk, introduced MOHAN Foundation and explained about organ and tissue donation.
Mr. Behera presented in detail, a wide range of topics, including the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, listing the offences and penalties related to malpractices in organ donation.
