Organ Donation Awareness Talk for Physiotherapy Department Staff at Apollo Hospital, Belapur, Navi Mumbai

  • On April 7, 2025, Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counselor from MOHAN Foundation, conducted an organ donation awareness talk for the staff of the Physiotherapy Department at Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai. The session was attended by 15 staff members who showed keen interest in learning about the cause. During the session, Ms. Prarthana explained the importance of organ donation, the difference between brain death and cardiac death, and the various organs and tissues that can be donated. She also highlighted the current need for organ donors in India and addressed common myths and misconceptions surrounding the topic.

    In addition to this, Ms. Prarthana shared the MOHAN Foundation’s organ donation helpline number for any further queries or assistance. She also informed the participants about the various online courses offered by the Foundation related to organ donation and transplantation. Furthermore, she encouraged the attendees to become volunteers with MOHAN Foundation and guided them on how to enroll and contribute to spreading awareness in their communities. The session was interactive and well-received, with many participants expressing their willingness to support and advocate for the cause of organ donation.
