MFJCF was invited for a meeting with SOTTO officials on 16th October 2024 at 10.00 am. This meeting was attended my MFJCF members- Mr. Govind Gurbani, Mr. P.C. Jain and Mrs. Kamla Chaudhary and MFJCF staff. Discussion with Dr. Mrinal Joshi- SOTTO(Joint Director), Dr. Dharmesh (IEC Consultant) were on the following agenda points:-
1. Awareness about cadeveric organ donation
2. Digital pledge reach to unreachable populations.
3. Counselling methods for brain death family members.
It was discussed that all districts in Rajasthan should be fully equipped to handle organ donation independently, without the need to send patients to Jaipur. A dedicated team should be prepared in every district to provide all necessary support for organ donation procedures. They asked for various letter and proposals to work upon. MFJCF put their opinion about ground level working and needs for the same and requested for mutual support to bring ahead the organ donation programme in Rajasthan.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement on the action points and the next steps to enhance organ donation efforts in Rajasthan.
