  • On February 9, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation set up an organ donation information stall at NoMoZo 6.0 in Porvorim, Goa, spreading awareness about the life-saving impact of organ donation.

NoMoZo 6.0 (No Motor Zone) is a vibrant community-driven event organized by Porvorim Rising in collaboration with Mr. Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT, and Printing & Stationery, and MLA of Porvorim. The event, with the motto "Happy feet on a motor-free street," featured a lively mix of dance, music, games, food, and entertainment, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd.

A key highlight of the event was the presence of Chief Guest Mr. John Abraham, who praised NoMoZo for providing a platform to showcase local talent while promoting environmental awareness and community well-being.

The MOHAN Foundation stall, operational from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., played a pivotal role in engaging visitors and encouraging conversations around organ donation. Mr. Gabriel, representing the Foundation, actively interacted with attendees, distributing approximately 300 informational flyers and addressing queries about the process and significance of organ donation. His dedicated efforts led to 10 individuals pledging to donate their organs, marking a significant step toward fostering a culture of organ donation in Goa.

MOHAN Foundation’s participation in NoMoZo 6.0 successfully contributed to spreading awareness, dispelling myths, and inspiring people to consider organ donation as a life-giving legacy.
