The Taluk office at Thiruvallur had a new activity with an information desk on organ donation on May 08, 2023. MOHAN Foundation’s Ms. Arshiya Fathima H (Helpline Counselor) & Ms.Yamini M (Community education executive set up an information desk and manned it from 10 am to 5 pm. Green ribbons, information brochures, registration forms, donor cards and standee were kept at the information desk.
Information about organ donation was shared first with Tahsildar Mr. Mathiyazhagan. Ms. Arshiya explained the work of MOHAN Foundation and the usage of helpline number 18001037100. More than 100 people visited the information desk. They were given an explanation on organ donation, voluntary body donation, eye donation, brain death, myths and how to register for a transplant. Information brochures were given to all visitors.
Thiruvallur area Counsellor Mr. Raju visited the desk and asked about the work of MOHAN Foundation and about Organ Donation. He pledged for eye donation at the desk.
