On 24th June 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Sandhya Rao, Medical Superintedent of Kamineni Hospital, Vijayawada, to conduct an awareness session on organ donation.
Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation. There were more than 50 doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff and faculty that have participated in the program and were distributed information brochures and donor cards.
We thank Dr. Sandhya Rao for giving us this opportunity to promote organ donation and all the participants for their active participation.
