On 17th July, 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Commandant, Col. DPS Chahal, 8Bn. Punjab NCC Unit Phagwara, to conduct an awareness talk for their N.C.C Cadets and J.C.Os at L. P. University, Jalandhar.
The Group of Cadets were from Phagwara (Punjab) Schools and Colleges. Around 450 cadets and J.C.Os participated in the program. Audience were given an introduction by Mr. Sudhir Dewan and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora.
The main topics discussed during the programme were:
MOHAN Foundation activities
Difference between living donation & deceased donation
Importance and needs of organ donation
Brain death and its causes
Myths about Organ donation
Importance of Donor card
After the presentation Col. DPS Chahal motivate the cadets and J.C.Os in a big way and promised that they will definitely work on this cause and asked to take Pledge for Organ donation.
