MOHAN Foundation Conducted an Essay Competition at Pandit Bachharaj Vyas Vidyalaya and Government Medical College, Nagpur

  • MOHAN Foundation organized an Essay Competition at Pandit Bachharaj Vyas Vidyalya and Junior College, along with a simultaneous event at the Government Medical College (GMCH) for students from various disciplines. The initiative was part of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's "Angdan Jagurkta Abhiyan," aimed at raising awareness about organ donation. July 2024 marked the beginning of Organ Donation Month, culminating in the observance of Organ Donation Day on August 3rd.

    On July 15, 2024, Ms. Bhagyashree oversaw the competition at Pandit Bachharaj Vyas School, where 70 8th-grade students participated. Simultaneously, at GMCH, Mr. Shyam Panjala coordinated the essay competition for MBBS and Nursing students, with a total of 15 participants. The essay topic centered around the significance of organ donation, engaging a combined total of 85 students in thoughtful reflection and discourse.

    These events not only fostered academic engagement but also contributed significantly to public education on the critical need for organ donation in India. Through such initiatives, MOHAN Foundation continues to play a pivotal role in advocating for this humanitarian cause, thereby encouraging more individuals to pledge their support and contribute to saving lives through organ donation.
