On July 23, 2024, Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of the MOHAN Foundation, organized a drawing competition focused on organ donation and transplantation at Resimbag Primary School, Nagpur. The event was facilitated by Ms. Suchitra Salare, a class teacher at the school, who extended the invitation to Mr. Behera to educate the students about the importance of organs and tissues and their functions in the human body.
During the event, Mr. Behera illustrated the human body and its organs using visual aids, guiding the students on how to draw various organs. He provided detailed information about the functions of key organs such as the kidneys, liver, lungs, heart, and pancreas, as well as tissues like the eyes and skin. Additionally, he shared basic health and hygiene tips with the students to promote overall well-being.
Approximately 50 students participated in the drawing competition, which was designed to enhance their understanding of organ donation through creative expression. Mr. Behera’s interactive session was well-received, and the students engaged enthusiastically in the activity. The MOHAN Foundation appreciates Ms. Suchitra Salare for allowing this valuable interaction with the students, contributing to a noble cause by raising awareness about organ donation from an early age.
