MOHAN foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session on organ donation by Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Giripeth, Nagpur. The session was for drivers and was conducted in the training hall on 8 May 2018.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:
v What is Organ Donation and the Law
v Type of organ donation and who can be donors
v Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma
v Myths related to Organ donation
v Deceased donation cases in Nagpur
v Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur
v Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and Website
It was a very interactive session. 30 drivers were present at the talk. 2 drivers signed consent form and picked their donor cards.
