MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation. It was aimed at educating the drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license.
Ms. Kanchan Shewde, Transplant coordinator MOHAN Foundation, delivered a talk on Organ donation on 9 August 2016. In her talk she explained the following points:-
Approximately 32 drivers were present during the talk. 1 driver took the donor card.
The Drivers asked the following questions:-
Any financial help given to Donor family after the donation?
Can the Donor Family know the patient who receives the organ?
What is the time duration for eye donation?
