


Around 65 students of Vasan Institute of Ophthalmology were given an orientation to Organ Donation by MOHAN Foundation on July 5, 2022. Ms. Preetha Ramprasat, faculty of the institute introduced the work of MOHAN Foundation and welcomed the speakers. Green ribbons and information brochures were distributed to the students.
Dr Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer, MOHAN Foundation gave an overview on the Organ Donation and Transplantation. She explained the concept of brain death and how to register as an organ donor. Students asked about eye donation and the process of brain death certification.
An activity to emphasize the protocol of Deceased Organ Donation in a Hospital was conducted. Many students participated in this activity. This was appreciated by the audience.
Mr Ganesh, Marketing Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation then spoke of the career opportunity through the Transplant Coordinator training conducted by MOHAN Foundation.
