Awareness Session on Organ Donation Conducted at RTO Office, Wadala, Mumbai

  • On March 25, 2025, an awareness session on organ and tissue donation was successfully conducted at the RTO office in Wadala, Mumbai. The session was led by Ms. Sakshi, a representative of the MOHAN Foundation. Approximately 300 participants, including RTO staff, officers, and visitors, attended the session, demonstrating a keen interest in understanding the significance of organ donation.

    Ms. Sakshi delivered an insightful presentation, explaining the crucial need for organ and tissue donation and the impact it can have on saving lives. She outlined the process of organ donation, from the moment of a donor's death to the successful transplantation into a recipient. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of pledging to donate and how individuals can contribute to making a difference through the MOHAN Foundation’s various awareness programs and e-learning courses.

    Questions asked by participants are as follows

    1. How does organ donation positively impact the life of a recipient, and what are the steps involved in becoming an organ donor?
    2. What are the key benefits of deceased organ donation, and how can individuals register to become a donor?

     

    The session was well-received, and participants were encouraged to sign up as organ donors, learning how their decision could potentially save multiple lives. The interactive nature of the session allowed for open discussions and queries, helping to clear doubts and inspire more individuals to consider donation.
