On, 13th May, 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of GMSSSS-10; Chandigarh .The awareness session was conducted for the students from 12th standard. In which around 100 students participated .The Principal and the NSS in charge of the school were a great support. Dr.Preeti, who is the NSS incharge also attended the session along with the students and showed interest in conducting more such sessions in the NSS camp as well.
The students were asked what organ donation is and have you ever seen an organ failure patient? To which one student responded that, she has seen a kidney failure patient .They were given a presentation to define organ transplant and laws pertaining to that and the phenomenon of brain death was also explained to them. Students asked very relevant questions after the session and some of them asked for the donor cards .10 cards were taken by the students and the students were given the information brochures also.
