Organ Donation Ambassador Ms.Sangeetha approached the  Bhagavan Higher Secondary School, Thiruvannamalai for an awareness talk on Organ Donation.  Students of 9th standard were exposed to the concepts of organ donation on March 30, 2024. Ms.Sangeetha (Intern,SRIHER) represented MOHAN Foundation as an ambassador to explain the concept of organ donation and the following topics were addressed: introduction to  MOHAN Foundation, basics of Organ donation, types of donors, eye donation, tips for safe corneal retrieval, circulatory death and brain stem death, effective use of help line- -1800 103 7100. 

 During the interactions the students eagerly raised their questions on following:

 What is Living donations?

 Can a person with illness and disease donate organs? 

 Who are unrelated donors? 

 Is brain death and coma same? 

Around 50 students and staff participated in the awareness talk. MOHAN Foundation conveys its gratitude to Mr.Siva, staff incharge and Principal of Bhagavan Higher Secondary School for choosing to support this life saving cause.
