On 19^th August, 2013 a public awareness talk on organ donation was organized for the members of Lions Club, Madras Suncity at Hotel Quality Sabari Inn, Chennai. They invited MOHAN Foundation, Chennai to organise the session. 

The session was conducted by Ms. Kavitha. S, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai. In her presentation she focused on the following topics: the need for organ donation, who can donate organs, when and what organs and tissues can be donated, about brain death and the about the importance of signing the donor card. After the awareness session; an information desk was set up at the venue. Mr. Ananth R, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai manned the desk and answered all the queries that were raised.

There were totally 50 members who participated in the session.  Every single one of them pledged their organs and promised to carry the donor card with them.
