MOHAN Foundation conducted Design for Life contest which received an amazing response |
MOHAN Foundation announced the first edition of the 'Design for Life' competition, in which graphic design students and professionals were invited to participate at a nominal fee and submit their entries. The competition was announced in June 2023 and was kept open until September 2023. Subsequently, the entries were judged by experts, and the top 3 winning entries were awarded cash prizes. The purpose of this competition was to raise awareness among the youth and also help develop creatives for the Foundation. It is planned to make this an annual event. Colleges in Mumbai were approached, and an awareness talk was conducted for the students and staff, after which their students signed up for the competition through an online form created on the MOHAN Foundation’s website. More than 50 participants registered for the contest. This initiative was supported by the SBI Foundation. The jury panel was carefully put together to include leading experts from the field of art. They were Ms. Puja Anand (Professor, Pearl Academy), Mr. Sundeep Kumar (Design and Marketing Mentor and Travel Photographer), and Mr. Somesh Singh (Co-Founder, Craft Village). The winning entries were chosen through a closed-room online evaluation. 35 entries were received from participants of different backgrounds, such as freelancers, design students, and design professionals. On December 7, 2023, the winners were declared. The top three winners were:
MOHAN Foundation congratulates winners and applauds the creativity and perseverance of all the participants who made this contest a great success. The winning entries were posted on MOHAN Foundation’s social media platforms and garnered views. The winning entries will be extensively used as awareness materials. MOHAN Foundation thanked the jury members for lending their time and expertise and the SBI Foundation for their support in making this event possible.
