On December 3, 2023, the MOHAN Foundation NCR team set up an information desk at a blood donation camp organised by the Punjabi Bagh Club in association with the Indian Red Cross Society and the Lakshmi Taru Foundation at the Punjabi Bagh Club, West Punjabi Bagh, Delhi.

Mr. Suresh Jain, who is a businessman and has been working towards the noble cause of organ and blood donation for many years, had invited Ms. Simran Anand, Programme Officer, Delhi NCR, to set up an information desk at the camp.

The chief guests of the blood donation camps were Vichitra Veer (DCP West), Dr. Sushil KR. Gupta (M.P. Rajya Sabha), Naresh Kumar Airan (President, Shree Aggarsain International Hospital), Praveen Kumar Gupta (General Secretary, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital), Subhash Gupta (President, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital), and Surinder Arora (M.D., DAAWAT Group of Companies).

Other NGO’s working for the noble cause of organ and blood donations, like Bhartiya Jain Sangathana and Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti, also set up their information desks.

Ms. Simran Anand and Ms. Sanya Santosh, Programme Officer, Delhi NCR, represented MOHAN Foundation (MF). The following were discussed in detail for the stall visitors: 

• Organ donation and its need in society
• When and how does organ donation take place?
• Organs that can be donated during life and after death
• Role of the MOHAN Foundation
• Eye donation

Attendees who visited the MOHAN Foundation information desk also asked many queries, to name a few: 

• If an individual has an eye-sight problem, will he or she be allowed to donate eyes?
• Can a cornea recipient donate his or her corneas after their death?
• What are the procedures involved in donating organs?

Ms. Anand was also given the opportunity to introduce the Foundation to the gathering and other NGOs that are working towards the noble cause of organ and blood donation.

Close to 100 people visited the stall.
