Saiva Vellalar Peravai – Tirunelveli organized a multi-speciality health camp for the wellbeing of the local community, comprising of following components

• Cardiac health checkup – Aruna Cardiac Care
• Cancer screening – Nellai Cancer Centre
• Dental checkup – CTK Dental Care
• Dermatology checkup – Dr Subramaniyam
• Ortho Camp – Rhock Hospitals
• Acupuncture – Happy Health Care & Cure Centre
• Sidha stall – SEEDTrust
• Ophthalmology screening – Dr Agarwal Eye Hospital
• Blood donation camp – TTK Blood Bank
• Organ Donation Awareness – MOHAN Foundation

This camp was held on December 23, 2023, at Annai Wedding Hall, NGO Colony, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District. Being the day of Vaikunth Ekadashi, a Hindu festival, and the eve of Christmas, this camp was of great help to the people of the surrounding areas. Over 170 people benefited out of these medical camps.

During this occasion Mr. Ramkumar, Director, Nellai Cancer Institute presented MOHAN Foundation with an opportunity to create an awareness on organ Donation. Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, used the stage provided and explained about the concept of organ donation, brain death, how to register as organ recipient, government schemes, myths and scams on organ donation and effective usage of organ donation helpline number: 1800 103 7100. 

This followed with a brief and interactive Q&A Session. Post the session, Mr Ganesh distributed the information brochures on organ donation to all and the interested 17 members pledged as organ donors.
