On Dec 26, 2023  the  National Integrated Medical Association - NIMA Women’s Forum  Aligarh chapter, invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct a session on Organ Donation. Dr Hemal Kanvinde of MOHAN Foundation was the speaker for the online talk. 27 members attended the session.

Dr Kajal Singh of the Forum started the seminar with a virtual lamp lighting and an introduction of the speaker.  Dr Hemal then gave a talk on the concepts that included what, when, how and what of organ donation and transplantation. A short film on Brain Death was played to emphasize the certainty of brain death and the clinical tests that are done to certify rain death. 

Next Dr Hemal gave a talk on the Law and Rules of Organ Donation and Transplantation and what a hospital needs to do in case of a brain death case.  She also shard a few case studies of counseling. There was a good discussion on the case studies. The concept of a national registry of doors was also discussed. 

The seminar ended with a vote of thanks from Dr Kajal Singh.
