On 16^thOctober 2023 MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness session at Janjagrati Navratra Utsav Mandal, Seawoods, Nerul Navi Mumbai. Adv. Mangalatai Gharat District President Legal cell Navi Mumbai BJP organized this session in association with Aryavrat Foundation for members of association and general public.

Ms.Prarthana was the key resource. She introduced herself and MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision. She addressed the audience by asking a few questions on organ donation, elucidated the need and importance of organ donation, and engaged the audience with the presentation.

The following topics were discussed briefly with the audience,

1 What is organ donation?

2Who requires an organ transplant?

3Types of death? Brain death and Circulatory death

4Which are the organs and tissues that can be donated after brain death?

5A video on the concept of brain death was shown and explained to the participants.

6Myths and facts about organ donation was explained.

The following were the questions asked by the participants:

1. Why post mortem is required after organ donation?

2. Is organ transplantation done in government hospitals?

3. Age criteria for donation? 

Participants actively participated in the session, they expressed their views and opinions about organ donation. The session motivated 28 participants to pledge their organs. Around 67 participants participated in the event.
