On 4^th October 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk on Organ Donation for Senior citizens of Old Age Home at Swagatam Vrudhashram Samajik Sanstha, Belapur. The session was organized with help of Mrs. Sharmila Pandya who is the In-charge person of old age home.

Ms. Prarthana started her presentation by introducing herself and MOHAN Foundation.

Thereafter, she discussed the below topics on organ donation:

1. What is organ and Tissue donation?

2. Who can donate?

3. Types of donors

4. Types of death

5. Myths and facts about organ donation

6. Donor card and its importance

7. Body Donation

Questions asked by the audience were as follows:

• Will the body be disfigured after bone donation?
• How to register for Eye donation?
• Difference between body donation and organ donation?
• Can old age person donate organ after death and how?

Ms. Prarthana answered all the queries promptly. Close to 24 members pledged their organs. 28 participants attended the session. We thank Mrs. Sharmila Pandya for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
