6^th August, 2013 was marked as National Organ Donation Day. To observe this day; MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore was invited by the Government Ayurveda College (GAC), Bangalore to conduct a session on Organ Donation. Ms. Smeja Paul, Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore was the chief guest for the event. Dr. B. A. Venkatesh, Principal, GAC also attended the session.

Ms. Paul spoke about the activities of MOHAN Foundation and also gave a brief introduction to organ donation. After which; a short film about organ donation titled “Ignite” was screened. After the screening Ms. Paul further elucidated on the importance of pledging ones organs. The event was concluded with a speech by Dr. B. A. Venkatesh who inspired the students to support the cause. There were a total of 120 participants which included both the staff and the students of GAC. Every member of the audience picked up a donor card.
