On 3 rd October 2023 MOHAN Foundation conduct a session on organ
donation for housekeeping department of Apollo Hospital. This program
was organized by Mr. Ajit Sawant, Manager of housekeeping department.
Ms. Prathana was started her PPT presentation by introducing MOHAN
Foundation and its activities.
She then touched upon the below topics on organ donation
1. What is organ donation?
2. Who can donate?
3. Types of death- Brain death and Circulatory death
4. Age limit to donate organs
5. Eye and skin donation can be even done at home
6. Donor card and its importance was explained in detailed
7. MOHAN Foundation’s helpline number was displayed to the
audience.
8. Hand Transplant
Around 35 participants attended the session and 12 of them pledged their
organs. The participants thanked Ms. Prarthana for giving them a wonderful
and emotional session on organ donation. They expressed their heartfelt
appreciation to MOHAN Foundation and its activities.
