She then discussed the law enacted for transplantation, the definition of brain death, the establishment of a brain death committee and its members, organ donation consent, and the organ sharing network.

Ms. Deepti Kumari, Transplant Coordinator, SOTTO Haryana, discussed in detail the organs that can be donated during life and after death, coma vs. brain death, myths and facts about it, the transplant waiting list, the green corridor, the functions of NOTTO, ROTTO, and SOTTO, and how we can support them.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Consultant for Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) at SOTTO, briefed the audience on the process of pledging and the significance of family discussions. The participants were then given a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding organ donation to enhance their understanding of the subject.

Mrs. Meenakshi encouraged students and faculty members to consider registering as organ donors and to participate in disseminating the message of organ donation.

The session ended with a short film on organ donation.

The session, which was conducted in two batches for the Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (A.N.M.), General Nursing and Midwife (G.N.M.), and B.Sc. Nursing courses, was attended by approximately 220 students. Sixty students signed the organ donation pledge form.
