Police personnel play a vital role in the organ donation process. The Tamil Nadu police has contributed significantly in facilitating the deceased organ donation process in the state. But continuous sensitization programmes for police personnel are necessary to enlighten them on their role in the organ donation process. MOHAN Foundation has taken an initiative to conduct such programmes. MOHAN Foundation was invited to give an awareness talk to the special police trainees at Veerapuram on 28th May 2013. A group of 487 special police trainees, Sub-inspectors and a Special Drill trainer gathered for the talk. Mr. Johnson, Transplant coordinator addressed the Special Police Trainees and explained to them the various concepts related to deceased organ donation.
