As an ambassador for MOHAN Foundation, we were given a task to conduct Organ Donation awareness sessions. Little did I  (Dr Ritu Agarwal) know that it would be so impactful on my audience and on my own self. I gave two sessions on Organ Donation awareness in a school in Mumbai, Maharashtra (Asmita Bhavan School), on 27^th August, 2022. Each session had a strength of 60 students of higher secondary class. 

It was a great opportunity for me to plant the idea of this sensitive topic in the minds of these children, at an appropriate age and in the best setting and support from their principal and parents. I started my session with explaining them about how to keep their organs in good heath and eventually, explained them about the concept of Organ Donation, which surprisingly, most of them had an idea about!

We had an extremely informative, interactive and productive session. It ended on a very positive note and they also promised us to keep spreading the awareness about the same in their families and societies to help people in need. I would like to express my gratitude towards Dr Shroff sir, Hemal ma’am, Rashmi ma’am, to motivate me and give me the courage and knowledge to do this noble task!
