In continuation with the 3 awareness sessions on organ donation, at Vijaya Health Centre, MOHAN Foundation organized a fourth and final awareness program. This was held at the NRI MET auditorium of the Vijaya Health Centre Vadapalani on November 24, 2022 at 3.00pm for the hospital staff. 

Dr. Hemal Kanvinde and Mr Ganesh C from MOHAN Foundation conducted the event. Dr V Ganesan, Academic Director & Clinical Safety Officer of Vijaya Health Centre commenced the session with a brief introduction to Vijaya Hospital and introduced the speakers to the new set of audience.  Simultaneously the staff of Vijaya Health Centre supported with registrations of organ donors.

A movie depicting the Gift of Life was played. Mr Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator spoke on the Concept of Organ Donation and Transplantation.   Why, when and how organ donation takes place, what organ can be donated, Brain Death, the myths and how to pledge were explained to the audience. Dr Hemal, Quality Assurance Officer conducted a role-play session of how a transplantation happens in Hospital, and the audience enjoyed this activity. A film on Brain death as well as a recipient testimony was played.

The session concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Ganesan and group picture, All the 69 staff pledged to support organ donation and few enthusiastic staff took picture with donor cards to post on social media.
