On 11^th September 2022, MOHAN Foundation in association with Transplants – Help The Poor Foundation was invited by Orange city Sport Shooting Club, Swavalambi Nagar, Nagpur to conduct a session on organ donation. This program was organized by Mr. Rituraj Ganvir, President of Orange city Sport Shooting Club Nagpur

 The program was inaugurated by Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi. Ms. Prathana was the expertise for the day. She started her PPT presentation by introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities.

She then touched upon the below topics on organ donation

1. What is organ donation?
2. Who can donate?
3. Types of death- Brain death and Circulatory death
4. Age limit to donate organs
5. Eye and skin donation can be even done at home
6. Donor card and its importance was explained in detailed
7. MOHAN Foundation’s helpline number was displayed to the audience.

Along with this program, blood donation camp was also held. All participants actively participated in the blood donation camp. 64 units of blood was collected to help patients. Around 39 participants attended the organ donation session and 24 of them pledged their organs.

The participants thanked Ms. Prarthana for giving them a wonderful and emotional session on organ donation. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to MOHAN Foundation and its activities.
