An awareness program on Organ Donation and Transplantation was conducted for the students and teaching faculty of Arcot Lutheran Church College of Education, Nellikuppam. Creating awareness among the students who are soon to be teachers themselves is a greater way of spreading the word.

The event was organized on May 6, 2022 in the Auditorium of the college and focused on the First and Second year B.Ed students. 212 students and teaching staff participated and made the event a great success. Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator MOHAN Foundation was deputed to take the session. 

The event begun with welcome speech by Vice Principal Mr. Emil Jebasing, who gave a brief introduction about MOHAN Foundation. Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator threw light on organ donation and transplantation,  difference between brain death and coma, measures to lead healthy life and effective usage of Organ  Donation and Transplantation Helpline. The session was both interactive and informative and lasted long. 

Dr Karthikeyan, Principal of the college  shared his experience and knowledge on Organ donation,  and listed the fine work done in the past 25yrs by MOHAN Foundation.

Finally, the session ended with vote of thanks from Ms. Pushpa, faculty of the college.  

The students pledged to promote the organ donation toll free number 18001037100. All the interested students came forward to receive the donor cards and the helpline stickers.
