On 28th April 2022, A sensitisation program on organ donation and transplantation was conducted for the PG students of Neurosurgery Psychiatric Social Work Department at NIMHANS hospital Bengaluru. Mrs. Ranjini Shankar and Mr. Marulappa LN were the key resource people. Dr, to Dr. Kanmani T Raju of Psychiatric Social work department NIMHANS was instrumental in conducting the session. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) is a medical institution in Bengaluru. It is the apex centre for mental health and neuroscience education in the country. Mrs. Ranjini Shankar addressed the audience began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and engaged the students by asking the participants about organ donation. The following topics were highlighted and discussed in detail:
Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS, elaborated on the need an importance of Organ donation and also threw some light on MOHAN Foundation’s internship and volunteering program. The students were extremely committed towards the cause and all the participants pledged to donate organs. Close to 15 students attended the session. |
