Members of the Bhakti Cares Foundation trained as Organ Donation Ambassadors in Feb 2022.

Bhakti Cares Foundation, in March 2022, carried out online survey to check general awareness about Organ Donation among Ordinary people. In the survey, which was open for 8 days, we received 675 responses and the outcome was eye opener. To start with 60% of the respondents were just aware that “Organ Donation Happens” and nothing more. Further, of the 675 respondents, only 14% have pledged their Organs which in itself is very small number.

Further, while almost 200 respondents were knowing an Organ Donor/Recipient, ~80% have not pledged their Organs till date. This again showcases lack of knowledge or awareness among general public about Organ Donation.

The most important outcome of the Survey was that 535 respondents did show interest in receiving more information on the subject and almost everyone has showing their willingness to donate their Organs.
