On 18^th Aug 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited by B.J. GMC Sassoon General Hospital, Pune for conducting awareness about Organ Donation among the general public. Mr Jagdish Borude along with Dr Ashwini from PSM department conducted awareness campaign at main OPD section waiting area of B.J. GMC, Pune. Mr Jagdish Borude organised this campaign as a part of World Organ Donation Week celebration.

Mr Jagdish held an awareness and introduced MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision. He is introduced the concept of Organ and tissue Donation. He also explains the type of death viz. Cardiac and Brain Death and the Organ and tissue that can be donated. He also described the tissue donation (Skin & Cornea) can happen even at home which caught attention of the staff. He discussed about the Organ Donation that can happen in case of Brain Death case and number of lives that can be saved. He then addressed about the myths about Organ Donation public has & how we can debunk them by illustrating the real facts about Organ Donation. Also they were invited to join in our volunteering program. Details of Organ Donation Helpline No. 18001037100 was also shared.

About 30 people attended the awareness session. About 20 pledges were taken. We thank Dr Ashwini from PSM Department for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
