Mr. Rohit Gupta, Secretary of the Durga Puja Committee of Jaitala Market in Nagpur invited Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation to organize an awareness session on organ donation for his fellow puja committee members. The event was organized on 12^th October 2021.  

Mr. Bulu Behera began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision, and proceeded to explain the following:

• Concepts of organ and tissue donation
• The types of death 
• Brain death declaration, apnea test and other clinical tests
• Procedures of deceased and live organ donation
• Barrier to organ donation
• Myths and facts related to organ donation
• Role of ZTCC in organ donation
• Transplant Law
• Importance of donor card

Mr. Behera also gave information about body donation and hand transplant. Around 30 committee members were present and 15 of them pledged to donate organs, signed consent forms, and took donor cards.
