Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation collaborated with Mr. Saroj Wankhede – Head, Laughter Club, Ram Nagar Park to organize an awareness session on organ donation for the club members. The event was organized on 8^th October 2021 at the Ram Nagar Park.  

Mr. Bulu Behera began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision, and proceeded to explain the following:

• Concepts of organ and tissue donation
• The types of death 
• Brain death declaration, apnea test and other clinical tests
• Procedures of deceased and live organ donation
• Barrier to organ donation
• Myths and facts related to organ donation
• Role of ZTCC in organ donation
• Transplant Law
• Importance of donor card

Mr. Behera also gave information about body donation and hand transplant. 16 club members were present and 5 of them pledged to donate organs, signed consent forms, and took donor cards.
