Mr. Pramod Mishra, the head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of Ram Nagar Park area, requested Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation to organize an awareness session on organ donation for his fellow RSS members. The event was organized on 7^th October 2021 at the Ram Nagar Park.  

Mr. Bulu Behera began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision, and proceeded to explain the following:

• Concepts of organ and tissue donation
• The types of death 
• Brain death declaration, apnea test and other clinical tests
• Procedures of deceased and live organ donation
• Barrier to organ donation
• Myths and facts related to organ donation
• Role of ZTCC in organ donation
• Transplant Law
• Importance of donor card

Mr. Behera also gave information about body donation and hand transplant. 32 RSS members were present and 14 of them pledged to donate organs, signed consent forms, and took donor cards.
