MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ and tissue donation at Mata Pitarula Seva Sadanam, an old age home in Ibrahimpatnam, Rangareddy district of Telangana on 11^th August 2021.

Dr. Bhanuprakash, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation addressed the residents of the home about organ, eye and whole body donation. He explained cardiac and brain death, and the organs and tissues that can be donated in both these circumstances. He also spoke about the transplant law, and a few common myths related to organ donation.

Information brochures were distributed to all those present. Around 40 pledged for eye, body and organ donation and received their donor cards.

Mr. Ramakrishna, a member of the home thanked Dr. Bhanuprakash and promised to spread the message to other old age homes and also seek permission to organise awareness programs.
