On the occasion of Organ Donation Day, Shalinitai Meghe Superspeciality Centre in Wardha invited Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur to deliver a talk about organ donation and transplantation. The talk organized for the nurses and other staff was held on 13^th August 2021 at the conference hall of the hospital.

Dr. Wankhede gave information about the following:

• Organ donation and transplantation – what, why, when and how
• Cardiac death, brain death, and coma
• Organs and tissues that can be donated
• Age criteria for donation
• Time factor in organ donation
• Transplant law
• Role of ZTCC
• Process to register as organ donor
• Using the Foundation’s website and helpline number for more information

Approximately 100 hospital staff were present and 20 of them pledged to donate organs and collected donor cards.
