On 21^st February 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the NSS Program Officer Mr. Ram Lal to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their NSS students at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Sector-29B, Chandigarh. Approximately 60 students from class 12^th attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on how important is organ and tissue donation and too many people waiting for transplant by Ms. Neha Sharma Katoch.

In this talk she explained the following points: -

• Organ donation types and who can be a donor
• The status of organ donation in India and their requirements vs donation rates
• She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on organ donation
• Difference between natural death and brain death
• Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
• Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
• Importance of donor card
• To pledge their organs, they can register at MOHAN Foundation website
• MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

All the students got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. Students did applaud in the end for the efforts taken by MOHAN Foundation. 20 Donor cards were distributed.
