Talk on Organ Donation for Students of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore |
Mr. K. Damodharan, Assistant Professor and Programme Officer of the Youth Red Cross at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology organised an event to spread awareness about organ donation and transplantation among the students and faculty of the institute. The YRC at KPRIET has been actively promoting many social causes and regularly organises medical and blood donation camps in remote areas. Ms. Ishwarya Thyagarajan, Research Associate from MOHAN Foundation virtually addressed the audience who had assembled in the seminar hall of the institute’s campus in Coimbatore on the 13th of February 2021. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Nigun Sanjai, a student and the following topics were covered in the one hour session:
Around 150 people were present in the audience who shared positive feedback and how the session helped clarify misunderstandings like organs could be donated even after natural death. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Mr. Damodharan, YRC and KPRIET for their commitment to the cause and looks forward to future collaborations. |
